What is the diary (Tagebuch)?

The diary is a component of the Austrian Land Register system and is used to record the chronological order of all applications and deeds submitted to the Land Register court. Every submission received is given a receipt stamp indicating the exact date and time of filing.

These submissions are registered in the diary and marked with a Land Register Filing Number (TZ). As long as the requested changes are still being processed, they appear only in the diary. Once the entries have been carried out by the court, they become visible in the Land Register Extract.

The diary therefore ensures transparency and traceability in Land Register procedures and documents the chronological receipt of all applications.
