Where can Historical Data from the Business Register be found?
Both current and historical company data can be viewed in the Business Register. Through the Business Register Database, it is possible to retrieve a current extract containing historical and deleted data.
Retrieve an Extract from the Business Register
Enter the company name, Business Register Number (FN) or VAT Identification Number (UID) to receive the current extract instantly.
The database contains all active and deleted registered businesses from 1991 or 1993 – depending on the legal form – up to the present day. This makes it possible to trace earlier entries, name changes and deleted companies.
For company data reaching further back in time, the economic-historical feature Almanach im Wirtschafts-Compass is available. It allows research into historical company data dating back to 1789.
